Runge v. Indiana-Michigan Power Company

Plaintiffs Ray and Tina Runge alleged in a lawsuit filed in the summer of 1990 that a 345-kV transmission line near their home in Elkhart County had caused a variety of neurologic disorders in Ray and their children as well as a miscarriage by Tina. The case is in discovery and the Marshall County Circuit Court plans to begin jury selection in April 1997. The plaintiffs are represented by attorney Spence Walton of the South Bend firm of May, Oberfell & Lorber. Indiana-Michigan Power is represented by the South Bend firm of Nickle & Piasecki, with Crowell & Moring, Washington, D.C.
