Muir v Southern California Edison Company

In a complaint filed in Orange County Superior Court on
December 13, 1994, Douglas Muir, a Newport Beach resident claims that he developed non-Hodgkin’s
lymphoma as a result of exposure to power line EMFs. Muir charges Southern California Edison Co.
(SCE) with product liability and negligence with respect to three 4 kV SCE distribution lines directly
outside his bedroom window. Muir is represented by attorneys Wylie A. Aitken and Annee Della Donna
of the Santa Ana firm of Wylie Aitken. SCE is represented by senior counsel, John Tinker, and attorneys
Joel Lamp and Duncan Barr with the San Francisco firm of O’Connor, Cohn, Dillon & Barr.
