The authors reviewed results of mandated FDA testing of an electromagnetic device designed to amplify sound for patients with sensorineural hearing loss. All patients reported improvements in speech discrimination (average 30%) relative to unaided hearing. None of the patients reported experiencing acoustic feedback. The magnetic device performed as well or better than the conventional hearing aid for most patients. No patient complained of interference from stray electromagnetic noise. No side effects related to magnetic field exposure from the device were mentioned. [BENER 13347]

October 05, 2002 - Janice I developed an intolerance to sounds back in 1996, and the symptoms over a long period of time develop to having migranes daily from low frequency noises such as the refrigerator, or orbit-like disorientation from just going to the neighborhood mall (bumpy roads), autism-like states, loss of focus and concentration. And not much about this is known in the medical field, but I can honestly say that prior to getting some relief by using a magnet wrapped around my wrist, I used to want to strangle the fridge every night! I am so glad to have just found this site and I know personally by first-hand experience the damage Electronic Frequencies have on both your psyche and physical bodies. I'am glad to finally notice that they scientifically know that Alzheimer's is a major symptom from the years of cell damage from Electronic Frequencies. If you would like more information about hyperacusis search for it on the net but please know that there are current lifesize disagreements going on. Prior to buying a Mangnetic Wristband my hyperacusis (an intolerance to noises) symptoms were absolutely intolerable. I used to get a migrane just from reading the paper in the kichen, from the low frequency noise from the fridge, and have to sleep all day to sleep off the pain. The swirly feelings in my head would be so severe, I was sometimes afraid of falling on the subway tracks from hearing the rail noises, and sreeches from the subway car. I wanted to strangle the fridge every single night, and the hearing aid I wear amplifies noises too. But after years and years or having this, depending on how strong your sight is, and your equilibrium you will likely develop tinnitus, and a learning disability, and autism states, loss of clarity and thinking. These were my symptoms and still are when I don't wear a magnetic wristband, but the magnetic wristband affects my hearing aid, so I do know the damage firsthand how noises can damage your nervous system, and it's also been known in the military since the 1950's, but I'am only a person who has been through firsthand the severe effects of hyperacusis, and it's really hard to understand or even believe. I really am interested in knowing more about this magnet being talked about.
