The author wrote that the geomagnetic field (GMF) is one of the environmental factors which affected evolution of life on the Earth. Living organisms have adapted to a certain GMF level, and alterations of this level could be potentially detrimental to biological function. Depending on the extent of GMF attenuation and on the duration of exposure, reduced GMF can induce adaptive or stable pathological reactions, and may cause irreversible fetal abnormalities. The author reviewed experimetns in which a reduced GMF during development produced behavioral abnormalities in rats and chickens, impaired seed germination, and affected hormone levels in pigs.[BENER 12841]

From the abstract, this appears similar to extensive studies performed by Valerie V. Hunt, PhD, in the 1980’s-1990’s. She used fractal mathematics to investigate the human energy field and produced the first dramatic chaos patterns ever found in human biological systems. Currently her research is uncovering dimensions of the dynamic transactions between humans and the environment elucidating human behaviors, emotions, health, illness and disease. In her published work, she reports lack of rational thought in humans within 20 minutes of being deprived of earth's natural magnetic fields.

Very interesting observation! Are GMF changes latitude dependent? Are there epidemiological data indicating that temperate countries and the nothernmost latitudes present higher incidence of developmental malformations? What hormone levels were measured in pigs?
