Medical researchers compared effectiveness of millimeter-wave (MW) therapy in 2 groups of patients with gastric and duodenal ulcers. One group of 140 patients received hospital treatment with MW therapy in combination with various medicines (venter, almagel, cimetidine, methyluracil, etc.) and vitamins. In the second group of 50 patients, MWs were used as a monotherapy in an out-patient regime. The recovery process for the inpatient group took 17.2 ± 1.7 days and only 94% of patients recovered. In the outpatient group, treatment with MW led to ulcer healing in 100% of the patients, with an average duration to recovery of 11 ± 0.77 days. The authors did not provide any discussion of possible reasons why recovery took place faster in the out-patient group. It is concluded that MW therapy has high clinical effectiveness. The authors recommend it for wider use in treating peptic ulcer patients. [BENER 11836]

Does this therapy just get rid of the ulcer or does it get rid of the bacteria as well? I am inquiring in regards to H. pylori. Your response is much appreciated. Thank you.
